Yes I referred to them as the "Grey Murder Dolls". Though I think I actually called them mannequins...

So, a lot has happened for me this past year. To cover it in no particular order:
After finishing Project Nexus, I got into another game with roots in NG that also grew too big for Flash: The Binding of Isaac. Running though identical rooms shooting weird guys sure is fun!! Although, weirder than shot guys or my tastes is how withing one year there were two games that had to leave the nest of NG to grow to a fuller potential. It can be said that Isaac was already gone, even though it was still a Flash game, but BOI: Rebirth just came out and M:PN2 just started development. I want to hear Adobe's perspective on this. Are they glad that they were able to help get these games started, or are they itching to make a better program that could allow even bigger games?
Outside of NG, three separate friends of mine apporached me to share their ideas for stories they were writing with me. This was a little mindblowing (of if you want to use a meme, my mind was BTFO). I've always fancied myself as a creative person and someone who can discuss problems pretty well, but to have it affirmed for me by no less than three separate groups is stunning. I've had people just give me compliments on those skills before, but now I feel like I've earned them. It makes me want to be a little less shy and depressive about my own ideas and actively work on improving them more now.
I also quit and then came back to a D&D group (it was 4e, but I know some of 2e and 3.x's charms too). I was having some trouble of an unspecified sort that necessitated the break, but I decided to drop back in before holidays would keep me from chaging my mind later. I was pretty surprised at how 'stoked' everyone was to see me again. I had never given myself more credit than a snack-greedy cleric deserves, but this is another example of me getting reassurance that I'm not what the Klingons would call a 'waste of skin'.
Last on the list is that I finally can get a computer that I broke (disassembled to people who told me it wasn't really broken) put back together for me at a reasonable price. Lots of stuff in the world seems more accomodating to me and my goofy way of doing things and I hope to take advantage of it and try to really accomplish something.
